Incoterms
Incoterms are international rules that are accepted by governments, legal authorities and practitioners worldwide for the interpretation of the most commonly used terms in international trade. They either reduce or remove altogether uncertainties arising from differing interpretations of such terms in different countries. They usually define the rights and obligations between two contracting parties (seller and buyer) relating to a trading transactions.

The FMC Rate Filing is regulated by the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). In order to keep transparency of sea freight rates, the FMC requires an electronic data set (Filing) of selling rates for sea freight transports from and to the US.
